IEH Academy’s HACCP training is accredited by the International HACCP Alliance and meets USDA, FDA, CFIA, and GFSI HACCP training requirements.  

This two-day, live virtual course provides participants with the critical knowledge to develop, implement, and maintain an effective HACCP plan. Participants who successfully complete the course and are present for all aspects of the training workshop will receive a certificate with the seal of the International HACCP Alliance.

Course Description

HACCP is a globally recognized management system that addresses food safety through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production and procurement to manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of the finished product.

This course equips participants to develop, implement, and maintain a HACCP plan, and to integrate HACCP principles into a facility’s broader food safety system. In this session we will compare HACCP and the FDA’s Preventive Controls rule, outlining key similarities and differences.This course curriculum covers the regulatory requirements outlined in:

  • 9 CFR Part 417 – USDA’s Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Systems Rule
  • 21 CFR Part 117 – Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Establish process steps and associated inputs and outputs
  • Identify the three categories of foodborne hazards and relate them to their process
  • Determine where Critical Control Points (CCPs) are required
  • Understand Critical Limits and how they are derived
  • Recognize the importance of monitoring and record-keeping
  • Differentiate between Validation and Verification
